In Albanian, a sofra is a low round table. It is brought out when there is something worth sharing, and everyone sits close to it. Nothing on it belongs to one person for very long — the plates move, the stories move, and the evening goes on longer than anybody planned.
Objects are laid out, not displayed
We took the word because it describes exactly how we would like to work with objects. Watches, jewellery and small things are set on the table, passed around, examined closely and explained honestly.
One piece, one story
Almost everything that reaches the table exists once. A piece is available, then it is reserved, then it is served. That rhythm is deliberate. It keeps the table small enough to actually talk about what is on it.
We work with vintage pieces, which means we work with imperfection. A forty-year-old dial has lived somewhere. Our job is to explain where, as far as it can be known, and to let the piece speak for itself in photographs taken without flattery.
